I basically eat the exact same thing for breakfast every weekday morning. WHY, you ask? That’s easy...because it’s quick, healthful, tastes yummy and I know I’m getting the nutrients I want for my body with ease. Monday through Friday I eat some form of yogurt parfait, rotating some of the ingredients on a weekly basis because it produces less waste. I detest wasted fruits and vegetables and try hard to minimize this although there is still much room for improvement.

Because I eat the same things I’m always looking for ways to mix it up a bit so when I saw this UNgranola from Kitchun it caught my eye. I read the nutrition specs (I’m an avid label reader), liked what I saw and knew I had to try it. They are based in Texas and that made me even more excited to try it because Texans supporting Texans...well...it’s just a good thing! 

There are 3 varieties but I’m a chocolate girl so “Holy Cacao” is my favorite. I always use nonfat plain Greek yogurt and this variety pairs nicely with raspberries. I don’t eat a lot of sugar so this not only satisfies any sweet tooth I may have but also my chocolate cravings. It’s also paleo, vegan, dairy and wheat free.

The recommended serving size is 1/4 cup but I probably use half that and it’s so filling. If you are looking for a quick and healthful breakfast, give this a try! 

 

FOR ASSEMBLY

1 single serve container nonfat plain Greek yogurt such as Fage’ or Chobanni

1/8-1/4 cup Kitchun UNgranola Holy Cacao 

Handful raspberries

<250 calories & 19 grams of protein
