They say so much. You could have on jeans and a basic white tee and convey ten different messages with ten different bags.
Today I’m talking about one bag in particular. One handbag that I think every single woman should own: a STRUCTURED black bag. Not a hobo, not a tote, not even a backpack. A STRUCTURED BLACK BAG. I’m not saying these other bags don’t have their places in your life but nothing screams polish and sophistication like a black bag with some structure. And by that I mean a bag that holds it’s shape firmly with or without contents. One that is not to big and not to small. It says “I have my life together”....even if you don’t. And that is why BLACK. It’s always on point regardless of the latest trend and goes with damn near everything. This bag should be all leather with very little adornment and the best you can afford. It’s timeless so you can take care of it and it will last nearly a lifetime bringing your CPW (cost per wear) down.
Mine is a Chanel special edition Boy Bag made of lamb skin. An investment for sure but you don’t have to spend the money to get a great, sharp-looking bag. It just made my heart skip a beat and I’m not going into debt for it so it’s okay. I also have bags from Target and I carry them all with just as much pride.
When you need or just want to appear polished and put together albeit in jeans with a tee or a power suit or that perfect little dress just grab your structured black bag and out the door you go!
