Beach Bag Essentials

Hey guys! This post will be short and sweet because for some reason the WiFi keeps disconnecting at this house. We are also on vacation so all of my posts will be extra short this week. Today I’m talking beach bag essentials. It’s easy to be prepared without looking like Mary Poppins. A cute towel is a must (even if the resort provides). And you can’t forget sunscreen for your body and face. I like to protect my skin as much as possible so I use a minimum of 30 spf but usually a 50 spf for my body and I always pack my Elta for my face. This year I’m using the tinted one and it has an spf of 46. I’ve used it for years and swear by it ~my dermatologist turned me on to it years ago and I’ve been loyal since. A pair of cheap sunnies (I’ve learned the hard way and never take my good ones down to the beach anymore). My rule of thumb- don’t pay more than twenty dollars for this pair. A sun hat...again, protecting your face is so important. A magazine - I gave up on books years ago...maybe at a different chapter in my life. A bottle of water is also a must. Even if there is drink service, sometimes they get busy and it takes a while. I like coconut water because it’s extra hydrating. Lastly, a cosmetics case where you can keep some cash/credit card, keys, phone and tinted lip balm with spf. Currently, I’m loving the Khiel’s Butterbalm...it’s amazing!
