Cheers to the Weekend (plus what this week has taught me)!

Wow! This week is wrapping up and it's my first post. That was not my intent. I have so many fun things planned for this blog BUT it was just one of those crazy weeks and I truly could not fit everything in. As you many of you know, we are about to be empty nesters and I have been so busy preparing our son to move away in just two weeks as well as our two daughters to return to school tomorrow. Toss in regular life and other social commitments and that was that. I have actually been pretty stressed out by not getting my posts out as planned. However, family comes first for me always. My takeaway is this: during weeks of heavily loaded family commitments, I will not put out any or as many posts. I now recognize what I can and can not get to during these times and the blog is what must be left undone so to speak. Since I know this now, I will be able to let you my readers know in advance. I'm having the best time on this adventure but it's certainly a full time job and something I'm looking forward to spending more time on in the coming weeks as I find balance in my new life!

Anyway, I hope you all had a wonderful week and have something you are looking forward to planned over the weekend.

In other news, I have been to IKEA more times this week than any human should ever have to bear, the grocery store even more than that and I'm honestly not sure what else. Pete leaves for Singapore tomorrow as well so we are going out for Italian tonight at the girls request. And that sounds great to me....

Next week, I'm looking forward to stillness, getting my house back in order and hitting my workouts hard as they have been sub par this week and hitting a reset on my eating habits. I am also thinking about our upcoming trip to Italy and what I need to get together for that. I can't wait!!!

What about you? What are your goals as the children prepare to head back to school?

Cheers to the Weekend everyone!
